Hunter

This is my son Hunter who happened to be a guest at a wedding that I was shooting.  When I was editing the wedding pictures, it became obvious that the photographer had a special interest in Hunter.  When I spend long days in front of the computer screen editing, it's hard to do anything but smile when one of my children is in front of me, giving me a constant reminder of just how blessed I am.

Cassidy on the Tracks

This is my wonderful daughter Cassidy at a photo shoot that I did with her in downtown Greensboro.  The train tracks are one of my favorite places to photograph younger people and there alway seems to be a train coming down the tracks whenever we are there.

Nina

I had fun playing in photoshop with this image.  The original image had the red lipstick applied in the shape of a heart which was fun, but for the black and white image I wanted something a little more traditional.  Thank you Nina for being such a wonderful model, it was a lot of fun, as always.

Tubing

I really like the nostalgic feel of this portrait of my son Zak tubing on the golf course.

Sparks at the Castle

This is a composite I made of the Sparks at Castle McCullock.  I took the image of the castle earlier in the evening while there was still some light, and the image of the couple later in the evening when I had to use flash and stand in closer.  I did some photoshop on the couple before adding it to the castle.

NYC 2010

Emily and I took a trip to NYC to attend a photography conference.  I was fascinated seeing this large group of Jewish men, I guess in part because it's not something I see in North Carolina and also because my step-dad was Jewish.  I took this picture while I was walking without stopping, because I felt a little rude taking it,  so that's my excuse for the camera shake.

Scooter Crash of the Less Serious Kind

As some of you might remember, my son had a serious scooter crash this past September and broke several bones, had nine hours of surgery, and his lungs were 75% full of fluid.  But this was an earlier crash that I caught with my camera.  I was shooting him riding his scooter when he laid it down. It didn't take Hunter long to hop right back on and ride off as if nothing had happened.
